Billboards and Coffee Shops

Billboards and coffee shops go hand in hand. Coffee shops need advertising, and billboards are the most cost-effective way to do it. The number of coffee shops in the United States is continually growing each year, so standing out from the crowd has become more important than ever in this large market.

Using billboard advertising is a great way to get customers in the door, or even to your website. Billboards are big, loud, and they can’t be turned off. Give your coffee shop the recognition it deserves using billboards for coffee shops.

Community Recognition

Unless your company is a coffee powerhouse such as Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, or Tim Hortons, the majority of people will not think of your coffee shop as a household name. But have no fear: billboards can change that, at least on a local level.

Building brand recognition in your community is easy when commuters see your ad as they drive to work, school, or the store. Placing your billboard ad along busy intersections and highways allows your coffee shop name and logo to be seen by thousands of eyes every day for the entirety of your campaign. In turn, community members will be prompted to visit your store or check out your website to see what you have to offer.

Unbeatable Cost

Billboards offer a large number of impressions at a very low cost compared to other advertising formats. According to the OAAA, billboards cost $3.38-$8.65 per thousand impressions which is lower than all other ad formats available. Not only are billboards the most cost-effective when it comes to impressions, but they also offer a great return on investment. For every $1 spent on billboards, approximately $2.80 in sales come from it. This is better than print and TV ads which have returns of $2.41 and $2.43 respectively. With prices and ROI as good as these, local coffee shops will have no problem being able to afford and benefit from billboard advertisements.

Clear Messaging

Billboards are great for getting your coffee shop’s message to the masses. Whether you want to get more traffic in your store, promote a special sale, or draw customers to your website to order coffee beans, you can do all of this and more by using billboards. Using creative messaging on your billboard is important because passersby only have around six seconds to view your billboard. Be sure to use a font that is bold and easy to read. The message should be short, clear, and to the point for maximum effectiveness. Use creativity and think outside of the box when creating your billboard ad, the most eye-catching ads are the ones that differ from the typical ads we see on a daily basis.
