Billboards for Toy Stores

Whether you’re a child looking for something new to play with, a collector looking for new additions to add to your arsenal, or just someone looking for a 5-star gift, toy stores are an ideal destination.

Like many small businesses, local toy stores are probably working with a small advertising budget, and making decisions regarding how to use that budget can be difficult and stressful. Factoring in pieces like return on investment (ROI), impressions, and ease of advertising is a lot to handle, and here is why outdoor advertising is an exceptional option.

Room for creativity.

When going the outdoor advertising route, design is really important. As a general rule, billboards should be readable, bold, and captivating enough to grab any viewer’s attention, while simultaneously communicating the message at hand effectively.

For a toy store, this could mean using bright and bold colors, images of particularly popular or exciting inventory, and a catchy tagline to pull someone in and communicate your brand.

Reach a local audience.

Billboards are excellent for targeting people who live and work in the area. By appealing to any specific demographic, like sports teams or local attractions; using location-based lingo or slang; or writing copy to emphasize that you are locally owned, local citizens are more likely to become customers.

Specific location is important because if your ad is placed within close proximity to your store, people who are already commuting or live nearby will be made aware of your store’s location. Plus, creating regular customers is always a plus!

Cost-effective advertising.

According to the OAAA in 2017, billboard advertising results in a 497% ROI (return on investment). That means for each $1 spent, an average of $5.97 is sold—higher than digital, print, and radio.

Additionally, the average CPM (cost per thousand impressions) is lower than most other formats, averaging between $2 and $7 (source).

Long story short:

Out of home advertising is a wonderful way for toy stores to get their names out in their communities. Create your campaign on BillboardsIn.com now to get started.
