How to Buy Out-of-Home Advertising

Here at BillboardsIn, we like out-of-home (OOH) advertising…a lot. (It’s kind of our favorite thing.)

But we understand that buying advertising can be confusing, especially the first time. Luckily, our second favorite thing is making complex things simple, so here’s our guide to buying OOH advertising!

Plan

First, decide which formats best fit your goals and budget. We offer a wide range of ad types, from traditional OOH like billboards, benches, and transit shelters to innovative options like Hulu commercials, mobile retargeting ads, and digital truck screens.

Next, decide how long to run your ad. Traditional formats run in 4-week cycles but can be shortened or extended to fit your needs.

We’re here to help you build the perfect campaign, so don’t be afraid to ask for exactly what you’re looking for!
2

Purchase

Once you’ve chosen your formats and date ranges, click “add to cart.” In your cart, you can add extras like custom artwork review or a blog post about your business. Choose a payment option and you’re good to go!

After you reserve your ads, start on your artwork. We have lots of resources on our website to help you create a flawless ad that meets every specification—and if you purchased custom artwork design, we’ll do the heavy lifting for you!

Proof of Posting

Whew, the hard work is done! Now sit back and wait for your ad to post the week you selected.

Traditional OOH ads have a 5-day grace period for posting (for weather delays, staffing issues, and other setbacks), but you’ll still receive all of your purchased advertising time.

Once your ad is up, we’ll send proof of performance, typically photos of your ad or a campaign metrics report, depending on the ad type.

In Conclusion

Buying advertising for the first time is no small feat, but we’re here to help every step of the way. Visit BillboardsIn.com to schedule a consultation with one of our advertising experts or start browsing OOH options!
